Day 5: Seeking Him First

Reading: Matthew 6:33 and Ephesians 5:15-16

Devotional: Jesus did not say seek God eventually, or seek God when life settles down. He said seek him first, above everything else, before checking notifications, before reviewing the day's demands, before the noise of the world sets the tone for your heart. Every morning is an opportunity to establish who holds your attention. The enemy does not need you to abandon your faith. He simply needs you distracted long enough that God becomes an afterthought rather than a foundation. You have been given a limited number of days. How those days are spent is a reflection of what you truly value most.

Reflection Question: Does the way you spend your first thirty minutes each morning reflect that God is your highest priority?

Practical Application: Commit to a seven-day reset. For the next seven mornings, spend the first thirty minutes without your phone. Use ten minutes for Scripture, ten minutes for prayer, and ten minutes for quiet reflection. Pay attention to how it changes your heart, your relationships, and your sense of God's presence throughout the day.
