Day 1: The One Thing That Matters Most

Reading: Luke 10:38-42

Devotional: Martha was not doing something wrong. She was serving Jesus with her hands while Mary sat at his feet. Yet Jesus gently corrected her, saying she was distracted from the one thing that truly mattered. It is possible to be busy doing good things and completely miss the best thing. Relationship with God is not a reward for finishing your to-do list. It is the foundation everything else is built upon. Today, ask yourself honestly: am I serving God while quietly neglecting to be with him? Busyness is not the same as faithfulness.

Reflection Question: What good things in your life have quietly crowded out your time with God?

Practical Application: Identify one activity today that you can shorten or set aside in order to spend intentional, unhurried time with God.
