Day 3: Guarding What You Allow In

Reading: Proverbs 4:23 and Colossians 3:1-2

Devotional: Proverbs reminds us that the heart determines the course of a life, and that guarding it is of the highest priority. Yet many of us guard our passwords and finances more carefully than we guard our minds. Colossians calls believers to intentionally set their minds on things above. That word "set" is deliberate. Spiritual focus does not happen accidentally. What you consistently feed your mind will shape your desires, your fears, and your sense of what is important. If your daily intake is producing anxiety, jealousy, or discontent, it is time to examine what you are allowing in.

Reflection Question: What emotions do you most commonly feel after spending time on social media or consuming entertainment?

Practical Application: Audit your media consumption this week. Remove or limit one source of content that consistently stirs up negative emotions or pulls your heart away from God.
