Day 5: Taking Back the Captives

Reading: Psalm 68:18; Ephesians 4:8-10; Colossians 2:13-15

Devotional: Jesus didn't just defeat death—He invaded the enemy's territory and took back the captives. Like a victorious king parading the rescued, Jesus pulled people from death's grip and displayed them as proof of His victory. You are not just saved; you are reclaimed, rescued, paraded as evidence that the King wins. The enemy thought he had you, but Jesus said, "That one's Mine." Your story of redemption is a weapon against darkness. Every time you share how Jesus rescued you, you parade past the enemy as living proof of his defeat. You're alive because He's alive. Your past doesn't define you—His resurrection does. Now go tell someone: "I was dead, but my Redeemer lives, and because He lives, I live."

Reflection Question: Who needs to hear your resurrection story today? How can you parade as living proof of Jesus' victory?
