Day 2: The Cost of Worship

Reading: John 12:1-8

Devotional: Mary broke a jar worth a year's wages and poured it on Jesus' feet. Others called it wasteful. She called it worship. True worship costs something—your pride, your plans, your treasures. Mary understood that nothing she possessed could compare to Jesus. In a room where others debated economics, she demonstrated extravagant love. What are you holding back from Jesus? What "practical" voices tell you to be more reasonable with your devotion? The fragrance of Mary's worship filled the house and echoes through history. Wholehearted worship may seem foolish to spectators, but it's beautiful to Jesus. He is worthy of your very best, your most expensive, your everything.

Reflection Question: What would it look like for you to worship Jesus extravagantly today, regardless of what others might think?
