Day 5: Living as Lighthouses

Reading: John 4:19-21, Matthew 5:14-16

Devotional: "No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us." This is sobering: the world sees God through how we love. We are called to be lighthouses for those trapped in darkness—not judges standing on street corners with condemnation signs, but grace-filled truth-tellers who meet people where they are and point them toward transformation. The church has often failed at this, swinging between extremes. But you can get this right. Lead with grace. Hold the standard high. Love your neighbor fully while remaining faithful to God's truth. This doesn't require agreement or endorsement—just genuine love that sees people's worth and speaks truth into their lives. As you close this week, commit to being known for what you're FOR: redemption, hope, transformation, and the relentless love of Jesus Christ.
