Day 4: God Is Doing Something New

Reading: Isaiah 43:16-19

Devotional: God reminds Israel of His past faithfulness—parting seas, defeating enemies, providing miracles. Then He says something stunning: "Forget all that—it's nothing compared to what I'm going to do." God is always doing something new, but we often miss it because we're consumed by what's old. We replay past hurts, rehearse old failures, and cling to familiar disappointments. Meanwhile, God is creating pathways through our wilderness and rivers in our wasteland. He's already begun the new work; the question is whether we can see it. As you enter this year, pause and remember God's faithfulness in your past. Let that build your faith. Then release your grip on what was and open your hands to receive what's coming. God isn't finished with you. Your best chapters may still be unwritten. Can you trust Him enough to let go of the old and embrace the new?
